Go Saleto in Schwerin

We went to eat there twice during our vacation in Schwerin. We liked it a lot. Everything is kept open. The food was delicious and there were interesting dishes on the menu. The staff was very friendly, flexible and accommodating. Recommendable

Actually a very nice restaurant but without a reservation you will get a rather unpleasant welcome there. I was only in Schwerin for one day and just wanted to have dinner with my husband when this little restaurant caught our eye. We stepped in and were greeted more surly than warmly. The question of whether we had made a reservation, we deny and were offered three free tables, which of course were rather unfavorable in the restaurant. We decided on someone who promised us something. Unfortunately we noticed a short time later that a lot of people including waiters always had to pass our table but we didn't let the evening spoil. There are 3 stars because the food was really good and our waiter tried to make up for his colleague's bad mood. A little hint... How about if you simply asked the guests without a reservation how long they would like to eat, because even after we paid there were still quite a few reserved seats available. For example, if a table is not reserved until 8 p.m. and a guest comes at 5:30 p.m., the table can still be assigned. That's how I learned it once.

Today we went to the Go Saleto to eat again. As always, we were very satisfied. The food was very good and also very quickly at the table. The service was also very friendly and courteous, as one was used to from previous visits. The value for money is more than adequate for the size of the portions and further visits will follow. And the sweet desserts alone are worth a visit.

Everything very tasty. Staff friendly. A little drafty. But that's supposed to be good for the hygienic air. The sanitary facilities can be repaired. The taps immediately shower the shirt wet, the roll towel is used up and should be changed. There is still something going on.

Today we were at Go Saleto and we are absolutely thrilled. We have seen and tasted many Italian restaurants all over Germany. But we have never seen such a high degree of love and perfection in cooking and have never been allowed to taste it.

We tried the starters bruscetta, vitello tonnato and starter plate. It wasn't that special. The toast in particular was unsatisfactory: dry as rusks and little taste. Savings are made with olive oil. Neither the bruscetta nor the starter plate saw much of it. We're not coming back here.

I ordered a salami pizza there. The pizza was little better than a frozen pizza. Hardly any cheese, made completely carelessly. The pizza didn't look good, but the taste was even worse. Furthermore, the knives were so blunt that it was hardly possible to cut the pizza. The only positive thing about the shop was the nice service.

Our favorite Italian in Schwerin. Very, very tasty pasta and the wines are amazing. It is worth making a detour from the Palatinate. 🍷🍕🍝🍝 👍😎💞✔

Very nice place not far from the castle. Apparently I had caught a moment when everything had gone wrong, the service staff made a stressed impression. The pizzas are very large and taste good.

We were greeted very friendly and loved our pizzas. 1. were they properly booked 2. were they well seasoned and 3. has no diavolo lived up to their name for a long time. A pleasant hotness, very very tasty. We can only recommend the restaurant ;-)

The pasta had the same consistency as chewing gum (except that probably the latter would taste slightly better)

There is NOTHING Italian in this place. The pasta was completely overcooked. The sauce was worse than Barilla (with a lot of weird spices) and i’m pretty sure they sold cheddar for parmesan. If they want to sell this type of food they should at least have the decency to remove the word “italian” from it.

Clearly not Italian food!

We had a variety of meals and all of them were very well made. The steak was the highlight as you could cook it on your own hot rock 👿

We were here for lunch today. The service was fast and friendly, the prices reasonable. The food was very good in taste, the pizza bread as it must be, the pasta would have like to come out of the water a minute earlier and were a little al dente. All in all but quite a recommendation

Delicious pizza and a wide selection of pasta dishes. Very child friendly staff. There was a sweet painting and crayons without asking. So the parents are relaxed and can enjoy the food. Everything was very neat and clean. After a table was cleared away, the floor under the table was freed from leftovers (at the next table, children had a little rumgesaut). To the toilets you had to go to the 1st floor. No problem for us, but not barrier-free. The prices were adequate for the food, service and location near the castle in the upper area. For three pizzas and a Kinderportion noodles with Bolognese, a KiBa, a large MezzoMix and two non-alcoholic Hefeweizen we paid 57 €.

Excellent food but terrible service.

The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We were served quickly and friendly. A small highlight is the open kitchen, you can watch the preparation of his dish. Also the coffee from here is recommended.

Very nice Italian restaurant. Nicely decorated, courteous service. It is great that you can combine different types of pasta and sauces. Prices are ok.

We just used the rest room. The menu looked fantastic though.

Bad service...dry pizza ....

It's been a year, and I feel like I'm still waiting on my food😂. Service was really slow the day I went, so I won't make it appear as if service is slow in general. I ordered a pizza & it was nice.

Nice ambience.. less crowded

Very average food, one can find something much better for that price. We've ordered two pizzas: one was cold and not tasty at all, the other one not so bad. The service was ok. Interior looks like a pizzeria or cafe, but definitely not like a restaurant. When you go inside, the kitchen is not separated from the hall, that's why the smell inside was awfull, most people took tables outdoor.

This place has the same menu as our fast food pizza place around the corner but way way more expensive. Cant recommend the pasta (with salvia and feta)
